Enterprise Menu Generation System
Overview
The project aimed to develop a web-based enterprise application for our client running cafeterias across the US. This application was going to empower cafeteria managers and other users to design and manage their menus efficiently. It encompassed various user roles, including Template Creator, Asset Admin, Approver, and Outlet Managers and Users, each with distinct permissions and responsibilities. The client had a huge database of F&B items.
Challenge & Solution
- Designing an intuitive user interface and user roles to facilitate menu creation for cafeteria personnel.
- Implementing detailed permissions for different objects within the menu creation process, such as editing text, moving text, and managing fonts.
- Categorizing layouts into diverse types like PID’S, Station Signage, Café Signage, Labels, Digital, and Menu Boards to cater to different menu display needs.
Achievements
- Successful development of a user-friendly web application, enabling cafeteria staff to efficiently design and manage menus according to their specific needs.
- Implementation of granular permissions, allowing fine control over object manipulation within the menu creation process.
- Introduction of diverse layout categories catering to various display formats, ensuring flexibility and adaptability across different cafeteria settings.
Current Status
